STDs, or sexually transmitted diseases, come in many forms that often don’t have symptoms. These diseases are primary acquired through sexual contact with a partner that already has an STD.
STD - Testing
STD testing comes in a few varieties, including blood tests, a cheek swab, urine tests, testing sores, a physical exam, or using a swab to take discharge from the genital area. STD testing is not usually part of a typical exam, so patients must ask to get tested for an STD by a doctor.

STD testing can be performed at most local health care centers or clinics that do blood work.

Testing results vary by the type of STD, but most tests will be able to tell you if you’re positive or negative for the virus that is causing the STD.

You can’t undergo STD testing online, but testing must be done in person. You can schedule a test online.
